Pasta Bake loaded with meatballs, sauce, and scandalous amounts of melted cheese is exactly what you need tonight. Bonus: you don't need to pre-boil the pasta, so be ready to eat and be happy with very little work!
Ingredients
nonstick cooking spray
3cupswater
24ouncespasta sauce
1cuppart-skim ricotta cheese
1poundcellentani pastaor cavatappi, rotini, ziti, or elbow noodles
1poundfrozen meatballshomemade or purchased
2 1/2cupsshredded mozzarella cheese
fresh basil leaves
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
Combine water, sauce, and ricotta cheese in a large mixing bowl until the mixture is even in colour. Stir in the uncooked noodles, frozen meatballs, and 1 cup of the shredded cheese.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan. Cover the pan tightly with foil, put on a rimmed baking sheet, and bake for 55 minutes.
Remove the foil, scatter the remaining 1 1/2 cups of cheese over the noodles and return the pan to the oven for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly browned at the edges. Garnish with torn basil leaves, if desired.
